Walton, W. Va. – Roane General Hospital (RGH) is pleased to announce that it will be relocating its Walton Medical Clinic to a new facility in early 2025.

The new facility, which will be more conveniently located in Walton directly on US-119, will offer expanded services, larger, fully equipped exam rooms, new in-office technology, a larger waiting room and convenient parking with ground-level entry.

For more than 25 years, Roane General Hospital has provided walk-in and primary care services for adults and children in Walton. In the clinic’s new location, practitioner Laura Smith, PA-C, and staff will continue to offer those same services and the same quality care patients have grown to trust. Patients will also gain access to cardiology care by appointment from the RGH cardiology team of David Adkins PA-C and Kevin Fletcher, APRN-CNP.

“As a rural healthcare provider, our goal is to continually improve access to quality healthcare services in the communities that we serve,” said Roane General Hospital’s Vice President of Rural Health Clinics, Leah James. “The opening of a new, larger facility in Walton ensures that residents have access to the care they deserve close to home while also providing us with the space to bring an additional service to the area.”

“The new RGH Walton Medical Clinic will also serve as a convenient resource for members of nearby communities, such as Clendenin, particularly when walk-in care is needed,” said Roane General Hospital’s Chief Clinical Officer, Julie Carr. “Our new location will enable us to connect with more patients and provide enhanced support to other local healthcare providers.”

Patients interested in establishing care with the RGH Walton Clinic may schedule an appointment with a primary care provider by calling 304-577-6815, or by walking in.

For updates about the new clinic’s opening, community members are encouraged to follow Roane General Hospital on Facebook.
