Roane General Hospital Long Term Care Facility Earns Prestigious 5-Star CMS Rating

Spencer, W.Va. — Roane General Hospital is proud to announce that its Long Term Care Facility has earned a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This distinction represents the highest level of achievement within the national CMS rating system.

The 5-star rating is based on exceptional performance across three critical areas: health inspections, staffing, and quality of resident care. Earning this recognition demonstrates the facility’s continued commitment to providing compassionate, consistent, and high-quality care for every resident.

“Our Long Term Care team works tirelessly to ensure each resident feels safe, respected, and truly cared for,” said Cassandra Hildreth, Vice President of Nursing Services. “This rating is a reflection of their dedication, professionalism, and genuine concern for the individuals and families we serve every day.”

The CMS 5-Star Rating underscores the facility’s mission to provide exceptional long-term care close to home. From maintaining rigorous clinical standards to fostering a warm and supportive environment, the team’s efforts continue to elevate the level of care available to the Roane County community and surrounding region.

“We are proud of our dedicated staff and deeply grateful to the residents and families who trust us with their care,” said Doug Bentz, CEO of Roane General Hospital. “The trust our community places in us inspires us to strive for excellence every day.”
